Parking app copywriting

The brief was to create website copy for an Android and iPhone app that helps users locate free parking spaces in London's congested parking zones. 

The app is very simple. You either park and use the app to verify your location as free to use, or you can search a specific location.

Challenges

• Strict word count maximum, so didn't have much wiggle room.

• Unable to try the app as it was still in development.

Approach

I don't drive, but after talking to many people that do I realised that parking in London is both expensive and frustrating at times.  

Often, people are unsure whether a location is actually free – due to missing / unclear signage and will pay elsewhere to avoid costly fines.

I decided to present ParkR as both a time and cost saver. An app that would make your parking experience much easier and allow you to "get your parking freedom back".
